VCCI was established in 1955 by veterans in the Trade and Industry to serve the interests of Trade and to fight out discriminatory Trade policies. with the commitment drive and mission, VCCI continues to extend its helping hand to the Trading Community and Industry with new agenda.

The Executive Committee of VCCI consists of Representatives of various Traders and Industrialists.

VCCI is also co-operating with Government in beautification of Vijayawada city, In this process the wholesale traders of the city have shifted to their own premises constructed under the name and style of Mahatma Gandhi Wholesale Commercial complex at Gollapudi in the vicinity of Vijayawada city.
